ഭർത്താവിനെ മർദ്ദിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ട് ഫാത്വിമ(റ) ഉമറിനെ പ്രതിരോധിച്ചു. ഉമർ സഹോദരിയെ തല്ലി മുറിവേൽപ്പിച്ചു. രക്തം വാർന്നു. ഫാത്വിമ(റ)യും സഈദും(റ) ഒരേ സ്വരത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു. ഞങ്ങൾ രണ്ട് പേരും ഇസ്ലാം സ്വീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ചെയ്യാനുള്ളത് ചെയ്തോളൂ. ഞങ്ങൾ അല്ലാഹുവിലും റസൂലിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എന്താണ് ചെയ്യാനുള്ളത്?
സഹോദരിയുടെ മുഖത്ത് രക്തം കണ്ട ഉമറിൻ്റെ മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു. താത്പര്യപൂർവ്വം അവരോട് ചോദിച്ചു. നിങ്ങൾ പാരായണം ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഫലകമെവിടെ? ഞാനൊന്നു വായിച്ചു നോക്കട്ടെ മുഹമ്മദ് ﷺ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നതെന്താണെന്ന്? ഉമർ എഴുതാനറിയുന്ന ആളായിരുന്നു. പെങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞു. നിങ്ങൾക്കത് തരാൻ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് പേടിയാണ്. നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞാലോ? പേടിക്കണ്ട ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തിരിച്ചു തന്നോളാം ദൈവങ്ങളെ സാക്ഷിയാക്കി ഉമർ പ്രതികരിച്ചു. മനം മാറ്റം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ സഹോദരി പറഞ്ഞു. നിങ്ങൾ ശുദ്ധി വരുത്തി വന്നാലേ ഇത് തരാനാവൂ. ഇത് ശുദ്ധിയോട് കൂടി മാത്രം സ്പർശിക്കേണ്ട വചനങ്ങളാണ്. ഉമർ അനുസരിച്ചു. അയാൾ കുളിച്ചു വൃത്തിയായി വന്നു. പെങ്ങൾ ഖുർആനെഴുതിയ ഫലകം കൈമാറി. ത്വാഹാ എന്ന അധ്യായമായിരുന്നു അത്. അദ്ദേഹം മനസ്സിരുത്തി ആദ്യ ഭാഗം പാരായണം ചെയ്തു. ഇതെത്ര മനോഹരമായ വചനങ്ങൾ! ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായ ഗ്രന്ഥം!
മറ്റൊരു നിവേദന പ്രകാരം അൽ ഹദീദ് അധ്യായത്തിലെ ഏഴാമത്തെ സൂക്തം വരെ അദ്ദേഹം പാരായണം ചെയ്തു. ആശയ സംഗ്രഹം ഇപ്രകാരമാണ്. "അല്ലാഹുവിലും അവന്റെ ദൂതനിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുക. അവൻ നിങ്ങളെ പ്രതിനിധികളാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ള വിഭവങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ചെലവഴിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക." പാരായണം പൂർത്തിയായതും ഉമർ(റ) പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. അശ്ഹദു അൻ ലാഇലാഹ ഇല്ലല്ലാഹ്.(അല്ലാഹു അല്ലാതെ ആരാധ്യനില്ലെന്നും മുഹമ്മദ്ﷺ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ദൂതനാണെന്നും ഞാൻ സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കുന്നു).
ഇത്രയും കേട്ടതും ഒളിച്ചിരുന്ന ഖബ്ബാബ്(റ) രംഗത്ത് വന്നു. അല്ലയോ ഉമർ(റ) പ്രവാചകരുﷺടെ പ്രത്യേക പ്രാർത്ഥന നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇന്നലെ അവിടുന്ന് പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നത് ഞാൻ കേട്ടിരുന്നു. അല്ലാഹുവേ അബുൽ ഹകം(അബൂജഹൽ) അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഉമർ ബിൻ അൽ ഖത്വാബ് രണ്ടിൽ ഒരാൾ വഴി ഇസ്‌ലാമിനെ നീ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തേണമേ! ഓ ഉമർ(റ)... അല്ലാഹു നിങ്ങളെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു...
ഒരു നിവേദനത്തിൽ ഇപ്രകാരം തുടർന്നു വായിക്കാം. ഉടനെ ഉമർ(റ) ഖബ്ബാബി(റ)നോട് പറഞ്ഞു. മുഹമ്മദ് ﷺ എവിടെയാണുള്ളത്? എനിക്ക് നേരിൽ കണ്ട് ഇസ്ലാം പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കണം. ഖബ്ബാബ്(റ) പറഞ്ഞു. അവിടുന്ന് അനുചരന്മാർക്കൊപ്പം സ്വഫാ കുന്നിനടുത്തുള്ള ഭവനത്തിലാണുള്ളത്. ഉമർ(റ) അങ്ങോട്ട് തിരിച്ചു. ദാറുൽ അർഖമിലെത്തി വാതിൽ മുട്ടി. വാതിൽ പാളിയിലൂടെ പുറത്തേക്ക് നോക്കിയ ആൾ ഉമറി(റ)നെ കണ്ടു. അകത്തേക്കോടിച്ചെന്ന് മുത്ത് നബി ﷺ യോട് പറഞ്ഞു. അല്ലയോ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ദൂതരേ.. വാളും ഊരിപ്പിടിച്ച് ഉമറാ(റ)ണ് വാതിൽക്കൽ നിൽക്കുന്നത്. പേടിച്ചരണ്ട സ്വഹാബിയോട് മുത്ത് നബി ﷺ യുടെ അടുത്ത് നിന്ന ഹംസ(റ) പറഞ്ഞു. അയാൾ വരട്ടെ നല്ല ഉദ്ദേശത്തോടെയാണെങ്കിൽ സ്വാഗതം. അല്ല, ദുരുദ്ദേശത്തോടെയാണെങ്കിൽ അവന്റെ വാൾ കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ അവനെ നാം വകവരുത്തും. മുത്ത് നബി ﷺ യും പറഞ്ഞു, വാതിൽ തുറന്നു കൊടുക്കൂ.. അയാൾ കടന്നു വരട്ടെ. അയാൾക്കല്ലാഹു നന്മ വിധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അയാൾക്ക് നേർമാർഗം ലഭിക്കും.
വാതിൽ തുറന്നു. അകത്തേക്കു കടന്നതും രണ്ടാളുകൾ ഇരുവശത്തുമായി അയാളുടെ കക്ഷത്ത് കോർത്ത് പിടിച്ചു. തിരുനബി ﷺ യുടെ മുമ്പിൽ ഹാജരാക്കി. നബി ﷺ പറഞ്ഞു, അദ്ദേഹത്തെ സ്വതന്ത്രനാക്കൂ. അദ്ദേഹം നബി ﷺയുടെ മുറിയിലേക്ക് കടന്നു. നബി ﷺ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിലാകമാനം ഒന്നു പിടിച്ചു. എന്നിട്ട് ചോദിച്ചു. അല്ല ഉമറേ(റ) എന്താണ് നീ വന്നതിന്റെ ഉദേശ്യം? അല്ലയോ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ദൂതരേ ഞാൻ അല്ലാഹുവിനെയും ദൂതനെയും അവൻ കൽപിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങളെയും വിശ്വസിച്ചംഗീകരിക്കാനാണ് വന്നത്. ഉടനെ നബി ﷺ തക്ബീർ മുഴക്കി. അല്ലാഹു അക്ബർ.. അതോടെ എല്ലാവർക്കും മനസ്സിലായി ഉമർ(റ) മുസ്‌ലിമായി എന്ന്. അവരും തക്ബീർ മുഴക്കി. മക്കയിലെ ഇടവഴികളിൽ അതിന്റെ അലയൊലികളുണ്ടായി. അതോടെ വിശ്വാസികൾക്ക് ഒരാത്മ ധൈര്യം കൈവന്നു. ഉമറും(റ) ഹംസ(റ)യും ഞങ്ങൾക്കൊപ്പമുണ്ട്.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنٰا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ

Seeing her husband being beaten, Fathima defended Umar. Umar hit her and injured her. The blood was oozing from her wound . Fathima and Saeed said in unison. We both have accepted Islam. Do whatever you want to do. We believe in Allah and His Messenger. What do you have to do?
Seeing the blood on his sister's face, Umar's heart softened . He asked them with longing . Where is the tablet you were reciting? Let me read and see what Muhammad ﷺ teaches? Umar was a literate person. They said, we are afraid to give it to you. What if you destroy it ? Don't be afraid, I will give it back to you, Umar responded swearing by gods . The sister who understood that there is a change in Umar, said, "I can give you this only if you come clean. These are words that should be touched only with purity". Umar obeyed. He took a bath and came clean. They handed over the tablet on which the Qur'an was written. It was the chapter Twaha. He recited the first part earnestly . What beautiful words! Great book!
According to another report, he recited up to the seventh verse of the Al-Hadid chapter. The summary of the idea is as follows: "Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend from what He has made you to be successors. When the recitation was completed, Umar declared: Ashhadu an lailaha illa Allah.
After hearing all this, Khabbab, who was hiding, came to the scene. O Umar! You have received the special prayer of the Prophet ﷺ I heard him pray yesterday. O Allah, strengthen Islam through either Abul Hakam (Abu Jahl) or Umar bin Al Khatab! O Umar...Allah has chosen you...
It can be read as follows in a report. Immediately Umar asked Khabbab . Where is Muhammad ﷺ? I want to declare Islam in person. Khabbab said. The Prophetﷺ, with his few companions is in a house near Safa Hill. Umar went there. He reached Dar al-Arqam and knocked at the door. The person who looked out through the window saw Umar. He went inside and said to the Prophet ﷺ. O Messenger of Allah..Umar is standing at the door with his sword drawn. Hamza said to the frightened companion from the presence of the Prophet ﷺ. Umar is welcome if he comes with good intentions. But if it is evil, I will destroy him with his sword. The Prophet ﷺ said. Open the door. Let him come in. If Allah has destined good for him, he will be guided. The door opened and two people grabbed his arm from both sides when he entered. He was produced before the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ said. Set him free. He entered the room of the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ asked him grabbing his dress . O Umar, what is the purpose of your coming? O Messenger of Allah - I have come to believe in Allah and His Messenger and what He has commanded. Immediately the Prophet ﷺ uttered Takbir. Allahu Akbar.. With that, everyone understood that Umar had become a Muslim. They also sounded the Takbir. Its ripples were heard in the streets of Macca. With that, the believers gained courage. Umar and Hamza are with us.
